Monuments and places of interest:
Marbella's historical tradition has left behind countless buildings that bear witness to events that took place long ago in the Andalusian town. These include towers, such as the Torre Ladrones, the Torreón del Lance de las Cañas, the Torre Real, the Torre del Ancón, the Torre del Duque and the Torre de las Bóvedas; and other attractions, such as the Plaza de Los Naranjos (square), the Cortijo de Miraflores (a former oil and sugar mill, now a museum) and the Iglesia del Santo Cristo (church).
With regard to tourist attractions, the city has preserved an ancient Roman villa and a castle from the Islamic period, also known as the Alcazaba Wall, located in the old quarter of the town.
Moreover, Marbella is surrounded by beautiful locations that are a pure delight for the eye and the heart of the visitor: Puerto Banús (marina), the Jardín el Angel (park), Avenida del Mar (avenue), the Promenade, the Parque Arroyo de la Represa (park) and the Parque de la Constitución (park).
Nightlife:
Marbella's active nightlife encompasses all that a tourist might wish for. There are bingo halls and casinos for thrill seekers. Pubs, bars and clubs catering to all musical tastes.

Beaches:
Marbella's beaches cover 27 kilometres of coastline. They are all highly recommendable to enjoy the Andalusian sun and their sand is of the highest quality. They all offer first-rate services for bathers.
The Puerto Banús beach is worthy of special mention and it is the most popular beach among tourists. It is located in the Nueva Andalucía district next to the José Banús Marina. The beach with its fine, bronzed and typically Mediterranean sand is one kilometre long and 50 metres wide, so it can accommodate a multitude of visitors.
In addition to the Puerto Banús beach, Marbella has many other beaches of different types (quiet beaches, popular beaches, beaches close to the town, with or without dunes, etc.) The most popular ones are: Costa Bella, Playa del Duque, El Faro, Fontanilla, La Venus, Linda Vista and Nagüeles.

Shopping:
Marbella is synonymous with luxury and sophistication. Diehard shoppers will find boutiques with all the top brands of clothing and accessories.
These establishments are mainly be found in the large shopping centres, such as Marina Banús (Puerto Banús) and La Cañada (Marbella).
Nevertheless, you can also find shops offering more casual clothing, in addition to the markets and street markets that are open all week long.
Gastronomy:
Fried fish, spit-roasted sardines, gazpachuelo, fish soup, gazpacho, clear soups, asparagus sautéed with egg. With respect to confectionery, Marbella is famed for its tortas de aceite (crisp aniseed wafers fried in oil), roscos de vino (wine-flavoured biscuits), borrachuelos (alcoholic buns), French toast, and churros (strips of fried dough).
