Year after year, Live in Spain organises the gathering of these awards, which Bancaja Habitat sponsors in recognition of the performances carried out throughout the previous fiscal year.
Both bodies look to award the best residential-tourism management and the adoption of global social responsibility strategies on both an institutional and business level within the real estate sector environment. With this in mind, they have recognised the following institutions:
Andalusian Public Land Company (EPSA), as the best autonomous project for its tourist property developments completed in Costa Ballena and el Toyo. Two pioneer development projects of tourist residential resorts, from the administration and with which it has attracted residents from around the world, driving residential tourism in Andalusia.
The Spanish Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Commerce, in recognition of the best performance in national territory with the “2020 Horizon Spanish Tourism Plan,” whose goal is to consolidate the future of tourism development in Spain upon the bases of competitiveness, and social, economic and environmental sustainability.
Entorno Foundation, with regard to sustainability and respect for the environment for its Sustainable Construction World Group initiative. Its publication, “Construimos Valor. Incentivos a la Construcción Sostenible” (We Build Value: Incentives for Sustainable Construction), was one of the Sustainable Construction Work Group’s first achievements, in which it involved a number of companies to raise awareness and participation in matters of social responsibility.
State of Quintana Roo, in Mexico, the best foreign performance for its actions to strengthen residential tourism. The projects of Quintana Roo state have been designed with the objective of becoming the field’s tourism leader whose configuration of a full-quality offer is respectful to the natural, social and cultural environment.
The Urban Land Institute (ULI), for being the best trend-setter in the real estate environment on a European level. Today ULI, a non-profit organisation dedicated to investigation and education as means of developing better land-use policies and practices, is one of the industry’s most important multidisciplinary forums for the exchange of ideas, information and experiences.
Live in Spain, which began with the goal of promoting the attraction of foreign residents, particularly “Europeans,” to our coasts and tourist zones, and Bancaja Habitat have worked together to study and award these institutions, which have exhibited the greatest effort in their support of Spanish residential-tourism management, as well as demonstrated the most responsibility in their operations.
