A shopping centre located in the central part of the Costa del Sol is set for changes following the announcement that retail design group Beyond Communications has been appointed to work on the complex.
The Parque Miramar Shopping Centre - the biggest retail centre in Malaga - is expected to undergo redevelopment in order to boost visitors' experiences of the shop.
Lawrence Hutchings, director of shopping centre property at Henderson Global Investors, one of the firms funding the project, said that the group is keen to focus on brand positioning.
Commenting on the Fuengirola-based centre, which is a recent acquisition of Henderson's, he added: "Situated in the heart of the Costa del Sol, Parque Miramar has a strong customer base of regular and destination customers."
Some 140 stores, a hypermarket and a cinema complex help make up the shopping arena, which is used by a high percentage of the local community.
The shopping centre was opened in spring 2004 and is close to beaches and the town centre.
