American Airlines eyes new Spanish locations

20 March 2008

American Airlines (AA) intends to add some Spanish destinations to its existing codeshare agreement with Iberia Airlines.

Utilising the new Open Skies agreement, which permits carriers to increase the amount of European cities they fly to via this arrangement, AA has earmarked Valencia and Seville as places it would now like to link up with.

Increased access to these cities may be of interest to property investors looking to add to their portfolios because areas that attract more visitors are often some of the most lucrative places to invest.

Another reason that may prompt people to choose Valencia as a property investment city is that it is opposite the Balearic Islands and "equidistant from the country's two major decision-taking centres - Madrid and Barcelona", according to AboutValencia.com.

Gran Canaria, Brussels, and Lisbon are three other new destinations that AA plans to fly to under its agreement with Iberia Airlines.
