The Spanish Business Council for Sustainable Development (FE-BCSD Spain) is a private, non-profit organisation, which is committed to embracing the challenges posed by sustainable development and business competitiveness. It is a national partner of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD). Founded in 1995 by a group of large companies, the organisation is dedicated to offering services to businesses which wish to consolidate their commitment to sustainable development.
The activities carried out by FE-BCSD Spain are characterised by innovation.
Its Work Programme unites an array of aspects concerning sustainable development, from the creation of policies to their execution, in order to achieve the following objectives:
- Business Leadership. To be a leading business advocate on sustainable development.
- Policy Development: To participate in policy development to create the perfect framework for businesses to make an effective contribution to sustainable development.
- Business Perspective: To develop and nurture the contribution of businesses to sustainable development.
- Better Practices: To demonstrate the contribution of businesses to sustainable development, and promote cutting-edge practices amongst members of the Foundation.
- Global Support: To contribute to nurturing a sustainable future in developing countries and nations in transition.
Bancaja Habitat is one of 21 companies which collaborate with Fundación Entorno by participating in its Work Groups: “Sustainable Construction”, “The Role of Business in Society” and “Ecosystems”. In these Work Groups, Bancaja Habitat collaborates with leading companies within the sector, offering its knowledge and experience to study how we can be more sustainable every day.
This initiative is yet more evidence of Bancaja Habitat’s dedication to sustainable development in order to ensure the welfare of generations to come, whilst providing our clients with flawless levels of satisfaction.
