”The English-language travel guide Wallpaper states that “the third-largest Spanish city has stepped up to centre stage.” The proliferation of travel guides on Valencia “is another sign that Valencia has made it on the global tourism map”, states José Salinas, the managing director of Turismo Valencia.According to Mr. Salinas, “the third largest city in Spain has undergone a cultural renaissance like none other seen in any city since Gaudí set himself to that task in Barcelona. The city has become one of the most interesting port cities on the Mediterranean Sea.
