Spain is continuing to be a popular destination among overseas property buyers, analysts have stated.
According to the BuyAssociation website, the European country is still a major hotspot for people who want a foreign property.
Property editor Paul Collins said it is attracting more than one group of people, as buyers are snapping up Spanish residences for different reasons.
For example, he stated that some people are interested in purchasing a holiday home, while others want to live abroad on a permanent basis.
However, Mr Collins reminded expatriates that they need to consider a variety of issues that second home buyers are not required to address.
He commented: "When you are looking at emigration then you are looking at a different set of criteria."
According to the Typically Spanish website, Valencia is currently one of the most popular areas among people who have relocated to Spain.
The region was highlighted as one of the main hotspots for foreign expats, along with Catalonia, Madrid and Andalucia.
