Spain has been identified as the most popular overseas property market among British buyers.
According to Global Edge, Spanish towns and cities have been the subject of the most online searches by prospective investors this year.
Costa Blanca and the Costa del Sol were found to be the main centres of interest among people from the UK, along with places such as Valencia and Marbella.
In fact, five of the ten most popular locations in the world were found to be located within the country, while Spanish islands were also highly sought-after.
This is despite the emergence of cheaper, less-established markets elsewhere in the world, which are also attracting a growing level of interest.
Commenting on the findings, Global Edge said: "Searches for Spain and regions and towns within it dominate the results."
This comes after Holiday-Rentals revealed that one in three British-owned holiday homes in Europe are located in Spain.
