Affluent Brits 'plan to move abroad'

Montag, 14. Juli 2008

Affluent people in the UK are increasingly looking into the possibility of relocating to another country.

The Emigration Group has revealed that a growing number of people in Middle England want to move overseas in order to avoid the continuing economic downturn.

Indeed, the organisation stated that many Britons believe that they can enjoy a better quality of life if they leave the UK.

Paul Arthur, director of The Emigration Group, said this sentiment is particularly strong in areas such as Cheshire.

He commented: "Our biggest client base is the CH postcodes.

"We get more people from Cheshire moving than anywhere else in the UK."

Speaking to the Chester Chronicle, he added that thousands of email enquiries have been sent by prospective expatriates in the last six months.

This comes after the Spanish Property Owners Guild said many people from the UK are choosing to start a new life in Spain because they are dissatisfied with life at home.

The organisation highlighted a number of reasons for this trend, such as concerns over taxation, crime levels and the rising cost of living in Britain.
